On behalf of the Plattekill Fire Department, I am pleased to welcome you to our website and express genuine gratitude for your interest in our mission. Since 1926, our members have been dedicated to delivering exceptional fire and emergency medical services, continually adapting to meet the evolving needs of our community. As your Fire Chief, with 32 years of experience in emergency services, I am privileged to lead our team of devoted professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

JOSHUA PISANO

Say hello to Josh Pisano, a dedicated member of Plattekill Fire Department for the past six years. Josh currently serves as a Lieutenant, bringing steady leadership, sharp skills, and a calm presence to every scene.
When he’s not responding to calls, Josh works full-time as a Field Equipment Engineer for the MTA - Metro North Railroad, helping to keep one of the busiest transit systems running smoothly.
Around the firehouse, Josh is known not only for his commitment to the job but also for his passion for music — don’t be surprised if you catch him singing a tune in passing. 🎶
Most recently, Josh took the lead on spearheading major interior upgrades at Station Two, helping to improve the space for all of our members. He also initiated a new improved inventory system for equipment and items for our stations. His initiative and follow-through are just a few of the reasons we’re proud to have him as part of our team.
